Prominent Catholic Charismatic preacher John Baptist Mukajanga died of a blood clot in one of his vessels that take blood to the lungs, his personal doctor revealed.

Speaking at his burial ceremony at Mt. Zion Prayer Centre  Bukalango in Wakiso district yesterday, Dr. Miriam Ainomugisha, the late preacher’s personal physician, said a preliminary post-mortem report issued on Saturday revealed the cause of death as a blood clot.

‘’ I have been his personal physician since April this year. On Thursday JB called me saying he was weak and I asked him to come to the clinic  for a check-up but after a short while,  he called again saying that  he had improved,’’ said Dr Ainomugisha of Victoria Medical Centre.

‘’I was surprised when I heard the news that he had died,‘’ she said.

Mr. Samuel Okut, in whose house the preacher died, said in 2013, the late complained of body weakness and when they carried out a test at Victoria Medical Centre, the doctors found out that he had a lot of stress and deficiency of sleep.

‘’In April this year, the deceased again developed complications and when we carried out tests, the doctors found that one of his lungs was dysfunctional.

When we sought a second opinion through another scan, doctors confirmed that he had a problem with one of the lungs,’’ he told mourners, adding that on Friday, the deceased was supposed to undergo another scan but he had postponed it to Saturday.

Mukajanga was buried yesterday.
