When Hon. Muhanga claimed she had made over Ug. shs. 10BN from selling goats, some students fresh from UNEB exams took the joke too seriously. The three forgot that Muhanga reared her own goats and did not go around jumping fences and  snatching billies from UBC land or any other grazing fields.

Edrine Ssekatawa, Dennis Kyazze and Steven Kayigwa were caught ingramento-delicto (read red handed) slaughtering a goat they had stolen. Perhaps, they wanted to throw themselves a wild meat roasting party for completing secondary school education. But the residents were not impressed.

A resident alarmed and within seconds, a crowd had gathered around the three. The owner of the goat claimed that two more were missing. They demanded to know where they had got the goat but they could only afford to stammer like in Mathematics exam. The crowd got violent and started beating them up. They crushed their heads like they were killing a snake.

Crowds joined in and  started pelting them with heavy sticks till they lay lifeless.

Like in classical mob justice case, Mityana Police officers arrived a little too late. Mityana Police spokesperson Norbert Ochom condemned the act of the residents and advised them to always forward suspects to police as the law states instead of taking the law in their hands.
