Royalty flows in his veins. Whether in jail cell or palace, Rwenzururu king Charles Wesley Mumbere is no ordinary citizen. According to reports, prison authorities have finally accepted to honour the demands of the king.

Mumbere will be allowed to have his personal chef cook meals according to his taste and preference. The food will be accompanied by soft, cold or chilled drinks since also he will be allowed to access a personal fridge to quench his thirst.

Away from food and drinks, the king has been allowed to keep in touch with the rest of the world after a television set will be allowed only for him.

While that is not top notch comfort suitable for a man of his statue, it will atleast ease the stress of being in jail to some extent. With Christmas a few days away, the embattled king might afford a sigh of relief.

The state slapped fresh charges against Rwenzururu King Charles Wesley Mumbere at his second appearance in court. According to the amended charge sheet, the state added charges of terrorism and attempted murder, aggravated robbery among others, totaling to 12 counts.

Initially, King Mumbere had been charged with one count of murdering a policeman in March. All the fresh charges are related to the March incidents. Being capital offense, the Rwenzururu king was not allowed to plead to the charges that are only tried by the High Court. He is in Luzira prison.
