Things students must brace themselves for after graduation parties

Graduation comes along with joy, celebration and feasting.  It creates a sense of accomplishment and achievement to the graduates. Animals are slaughtered and beers drunk. This is the point where most parents hang their gloves and sit sighing, “Ahh! I have fought a good fight!”

However, the festivity is usually short-lived for most students. Here are some of the things every student needs to worry about after graduation.

Okay, you might settle in your parent’s home but the pressure to leave will be most generated by yourself! Reason? Your mothers will expect home before 8pm yet that is the time your buddies are throwing a house party somewhere. She will send you to buy tomatoes, onions and bring back balance to your young sister’s doughnuts! At this time, when your parents are talking about the bills, that concerned look of frustration will make you think of one thing; getting away. What happens when your babe wants to visit you say late evening?

No more pocket money

As a student, there is always an excuse for most of the students to ask their parents for upkeep. In otherwords, it is always easy to convince parents for money while still at campus which will not be the case after graduation.

Search for jobs

It is by default that every student after the university will focus on securing at least a job somewhere.

House work

As most students spend most of their campus time in hostels, they are relieved from the normal home activities like compound maintenance. In the eyes of your parents, you are not a GRC, course leader or once chief fresher. You are a child who must participate in  participate in domestic chores.

No more party time

Life at campus is party time for most of the students every weekend evening. Now that school time is done, the chances to move out to happening places become minimal.
