Police boss Kayihura’s whereabouts revealed

After Police boss Kale Kayihura conspicously missing at both the State of The Nation address and budget reading last week, events a person holding his office traditionally attends, speculation has been rife about his health status with some news outlets reporting that he is gravelly ill.

Kayihura was represented by his deputy Okoth Ochola, prompting rumours circulating on social media, indicating that the Police boss was taken ill while addressing his surbodinates at the dreaded Nalufenya detention facility. 

However, Police spokesman Assan Kasingye says that Kayihura is in Turkey on State duty, though he didn’t disclose details.

Kasingye said Kayihura had signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Turkey.

“The IGP is in Turkey on official duty. He has signed an MOU that we shall soon brief you about,” Kasingye told journalists.

Kayihura who flew out of the country on Tuesday, the same day Museveni blasted Police for allowing thugs to infiltrate the force during State of The Nation address is expected in the country this week.
