NRM officials forced me to represent the party — Sitenda Sebalu reveals he feared Bobi Wine

NRM’s Sitenda Sebalu who came second in the Kyadondo East by-elections has revealed that he wanted to drop out of the race after Bobi Wine revealed his intentions to contest for the seat. He stated that his party forced him to contest and he is not surprised that the singer won by an overwhelming majority.

“I wanted to quit the race once I heard that Bobi Wine was coming. But NRM officials forced me to represent the party. But I saw it coming and I am not surprised by what I am seeing”, he stated.

He conceded defeat and stated that he is ready to work with Hon. Kyagulanyi Robert for the sake of the people of Kyadondo East.

“Congratulations Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi and I am ready to work with you if given a chance so that we take Kyadondo East to the next level”, he stated.

Bobi Wine polled 25,659 votes followed by Sitenda with 4,566 votes, Kantinti with 1,832,Muwada with 575 votes and lastly Kayongo with 377 votes.
