Former DP president John Ssebaana Kizito passes on

Veteran politician John Ssebaana Kizito is dead. DP president Nobert Mao revealed this morning that he passed on at Nakasero hospital.

Ssebaana Kizito, 83 was rushed to Nakasero Hospital about two weeks ago where he had been admitted and put on life support after suffering a stroke. John Ssebaana Kizito (born 1934) was a Ugandan, businessman, economist and politician. He was the President of the Democratic Party (DP) in Uganda from 2005 to 2010. Kizito was a member of the University Council of Ndejje University. He was reported to be one of the wealthiest people in Uganda, having sizable holdings in real estate and insurance.
