As the Togikwatako campaign gets international attention, Kizza Besigye has announced that he is adding more wood to the fire. Speaking at his office along Katonga road today, he announced that the infamous Walk-to-work protest will resume next week on Tuesday. The protest will be held as a peaceful demonstration against lifting the presidential age limit.

He called upon those with private cars to use public means as a way to show their support for the campaign.

The Walk-to-work protest were last held in 2011  as a protest against the high cost of living. The demonstration was fiercely countered by Police which climaxed with the gruesome scenes at Mulago Roundabout where Besigye’s car was attacked and pepper sprayed in his eyes by Gilbert Arinaitwe.
