The battle lines are drawn! President Museveni has thrown his weight behind the presidential age limit removal. In a closed door meeting with NRM caucus yesterday, the president reportedly told NRM MPs bluntly that “this age limit thing is his thing”.
According to government chief whip Ruth Nankabirwa, “The Man With A Vision” stated that opposing the age limit removal means fighting him directly. While addressing the press, she further defended the decision to throw out “rebel MPs” opposed to the age limit removal.
She stated that the meeting was a matter of “you are either with us or against us”.
