Mixed reactions continue to pour in over the newly elected FDC President Patrick Amuriat. Political analyst Andrew Mwenda claims it was Dr Kiiza Besigye’s mission to get rid of Gen Mugisha Muntu.

According to Mwenda, FDC will  split due to the selfish character of one of their founding members.

I am being encouraged to run for Speaker of Parliament — Norbert Mao

” We are going to see a split of FDC. Besigye has always been in charge of FDC. He has controlled that party since he came back to take its leadership, ” Mwenda stated.

“Amuriat is just a peg-boy to run Besigye’s everyday jobs according to Besigye’s’s singular approach/way of running politics in this country.  I think Besigye is a very selfish politician who wants to control the party so that he continues to run again and again.”

However, he further applauded the ruling party saying; “Opposition in Uganda faces a formidable opponent. NRM is not like any other political parties. It is a revolution that came to power after a protracted struggle.”
