This is terrible news! Kayondo Joseph and Ssekabila, both meat vendors at a butcher in Ntinda were arrested earlier this afternoon with a concoction of chemicals to preserve the meat for sale.

The KCCA public health team netted the duo with bottles containing the deadly chemicals.

The chemicals keep away flies, prevent decay and keep the meat looking appealing to the eyes for a much longer period.

The most common chemical used is formalin which is also used to treat dead bodies.

The chemicals are readily available downtown at various pharmacies. Keep on the look.
