A group of people tried to obstruct the arrest of  Boda boda 2010 group —  UPDF confirms

While addressing media this morning at the Media Centre, UPDF Deputy Spokesperson Lt. Col Deo Akiiki confirmed that UPDF together with some security agencies are responsible for the ongoing raids and arrest of Boda boda 2010 group members. He further revealed that in the course of their operations, some yet to be identified group tried to obstruct the arrest.

 “Acting on technical precise intelligence, we were able to get a one Kiwalabye which led us to arrest Abdul Kitata and others. In this operation, there were attempts to interfere with the arresting process to obstruct justice, a group of people tried to obstruct the arrest of these suspects including obstruction by closing roads and using media but this isn’t acceptable”, Akiiki stated.

“We’re still doing joint investigations to make sure this case moves smoothly to public expectation, we are working for the security of Ugandans no matter who you are. As UPDF, we are going to continue working with security agencies to make sure this works out well, to have a secure country.” He added

Military Police and Anti-riot police have also today made a raid to the remaining boda boda 2010 offices and confiscated the found property.
