There is a problem with individuals who you can’t tell where their face is —Besigye hits back at Odonga Otto

A week ago, Aruu county Member of Parliament Odonga Otto, Joseph Ssewungu of Kalungu West and Simon Oyet of Nwoya County vowed to shun Dr Kiiza Besigye’s ‘Tubalemese’. They called upon the youth to ignore Kizza Besigye’s  campaign stating that he is bent n selfish interests.  

Like how they questioned his strategy of doing things, Besigye probed their presser saying; “What they (Otto, Ssewungu and Oyet) were doing was itself a contradiction. Whom did they consult to hold that press conference? On whose behalf were they responding?”

 “This country has two problems; a hostage country and the predatory elite. The elite class is part and parcel of the problem in this country. We have been having very many of these elites, you don’t know where their head is. There is a problem with individuals who you can’t tell where their face is. I think there are many Odonga Otto’s in this country; my advice is, we must maintain our course. We have a challenge of people holding the country hostage and we must isolate them and resist their approaches”, the four time presidential candidate stated in an interview with NBS TV.

According to Besigye, they followed the right criteria to come up with the ‘Tubalemese’ campaign.

“We discussed the strategy by party and opposition level. We think the strategy is struggle. Elections are not the strategy, the strategy is nonviolent struggle. There is no divide opposition. Every single person in the opposition has a unique idea. We have different views on anything. What brings us together is bring up all those ideas into coherent strategies”, he explained.
