Following the shoulder to shoulder Jinja Municipality East by-election race that saw the Electoral Commission declare FDC’s Paul Mwiru as the winner, government spokesperson has told the opposition camp to hire him in their bid to get more legislators into parliament.

While appearing on NBS TV Frontline Show, Opondo stated that; “Opposition should hire me and Byaruhanga to advise them and help them get more numbers in parliament.”

However, Democratic Party President Norbert Mao sarcastically interfered saying; “It’s like buying a padlock from a thief.”

Opondo defended himself stating that opposition leaders only concentrate on accusing the ruling party instead of giving the public solutions to their problems.
