In Uganda today, if you annoy people who hold power, you’re finished — Parliament Communication Director Chris Obore

Chris Obore, Director Communications at Parliament has warned those ‘annoying people in power’. While appearing on NBS TV Media Round Table show, Chris Obore reflected on events surrounding Uganda Investment Authority boss Jolly Kaguhangire.

“In Uganda today, if you annoy people who hold power, you are finished”, he stated.

According to Obore,  once an individual becomes more powerful than institution, he/she will only be serving her/his personal interests. He further suggested that institutions must be well structured  to effect their designed activities and incase of a problem, solutions must be suggested and communicated.

Jolly Kaguhangire was suspended over allegations of corruption. However, she has reportedly stated that she will not leave office.
