Hon. Anite hands over office to David Bahati

State Minister for privatization and investment, Hon. Evelyn Anite has handed over her office to State Minister for planning David Bahati. David Bahati is currently tasked to juggle the two roles.

Hon. Anite has been involved in a bitter fight with caretaker of Uganda Telecom Ltd, Bemanya Twebaze, over which investor the government should partner with to capaitalise the telecommunication company.

According to grapevine, Anite has reportedly been shown the exit over an allged bribe she received from one investor. However, it has been established that the minister is in United States of America pursuing Global Masters of Arts in International Relations and Diplomacy at Fletcher School of Law of Diplomacy.

Anite revealed that she started the programme in January and is expected to graduate in January next year fully funded by the president. She further stated that she will back next month.
