President Museveni’s order to the Ministry of Finance to allocate money and purchase armoured vehicles for legislators continues to attract mixed reactions.

Appearing on NBS TV Morning Breeze show, Hon James Waluswaka MP Bunyole West (NRM) said they need the cars because Museveni is an expert in security and his words cannot be taken for granted.

“I need the security because I have been advised by the president who is a security expert and sees further than I do,” Waluswaka.

On the issue of whether government will manage to improvise, the legislator revealed that the state has money to fulfill its intended program.

“This money for the MPs security is going to come from the Ministry of Defense and maybe the president’s office. The money is available. If the cars are procured in a fair manner, they will cost less.”
