New leader of opposition Betty Aol Ochan has called for unity. While speaking at FDC headquarters, she stated that she intends to focus on uniting the divided opposition.
She explained that despite disagreements, the party members should have the humility to recognise that the party is bigger than an individuals.
“I have come to report to my leaders and they’ve welcomed me. I have very strong people behind me and this is a strong party. In all these parties we have problems and when people disagree, some want to completely move away…we can disagree but not fall apart. We must know that the party is bigger than all of us”, she stated.
Party president Patrick Oboi Amuriat pledged full support to the Gulu Woman Member of parliament.
