Kyadondo East MP Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine will face military court, the Court Martial tomorrow in Gulu.

Deputy Prime Minister Gen Moses Ali announced the shocking development this evening while addressing the House. He stated that the Hon. Kyagulanyi Sentamu was found with two rifles. The legislator might be charged with treason and terrorism.

Other legislators Francis Zaake, Gerald Karuhanga and Paul Mwiru have been charged with inciting violence and will appear before Chief Magistrate’s Court.

The MPs were picked up in Arua Town on Monday, following chaos in which Bobi Wine’s driver Kawooya Yasin was shot dead, and a car in President Yoweri Museveni’s lead convoy  was reportedly vandalised by rowdy opposition supporters.

This evening, Parliament resolved to send a six-member committee to travel to Gulu and Arua to give clarity on the shocking issue.

Parliament nominated MPs;Jovah Kamateka, Baryayanga Aja , Amule Ruth , Allan Ssewanyana, Medard Ssegona to attend the Court Martial in Gulu tomorrow, Thursday to hear the case of MPs arrested in relation to the insecurity in Arua.

The Deputy Prime Minister, ironically denied reports that Bobi Wine, and the other MPs were subjected to torture in detention despite the photos of Mityana MP Francis Zaake trending online showing him in a grave situation.

He also stated that the Bobi Wine was airlifted to Bombo to seek medical attention but couldn’t explain, why the legislators needed to be hospitalised.

In an earlier statement, Mugisha Muntu revealed that the detained MPs were in need of urgent medical attention.
