With the Kyadondo East legislator, Robert Kyagulanyi nursing injuries attained during the eve of Arua Municipality By-elections, NRM Chairman of the Electoral Commission Dr. Tanga Odoi has come out in defense of Bobi Wine saying he is not violent.

“Bobi Wine isn’t a thug and aggressive as people say he is, he’s very intelligent,” he stated.

He further revealed why the ruling party lost in Arua and in other recent by-elections.

“The NRM population in Arua warned us that they’d vote for Kassiano Wadri even when Tiperu was announced the party flag bearer, and we told this to the concerned parties because we wanted to mobilize quickly.”

He heaped blame on Party Secretary General Kasule Lumumba stating that her methods of work is weakening the party.

“We didn’t prepare properly, and we have lost in areas we shouldn’t have lost. It’s the same issue we had in Bugiri, we had a very good candidate. The current dispensation within the secretariat is what will weaken our party.”
