Former minister Miria Matembe has called out for the release of detained legislators. She stated that the responses of the president and that of the army spokesperson show no remorse.
“I have listened to the President and the army spokesperson and they have no remorse whatsoever”, she stated.
As a Christian and preacher, Miria Matembe related the current incident to the Biblical story of the massacre of boys by Israelite king, Herod for he feared another king had been born in his kingdom.
“I want to tell President Museveni to stop behaving like King Herod who ordered the killing of all boys just because he feared for his throne”, she stated.
