Asan Kasingye reveals how police officers survived lynching at burial of man who was shot in Mityana protests

Earlier this week, angry mourners in Mityana district nearly lynched Police Chief Political Commissar Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Asan Kasingye  together with senior police officers attended the burial of Samuel Ssekiziyivu, a victim of the Mityana shooting at the hands of police.

The former police spokesperson has finally opened up on why they managed to survive the wrath of the mourners.  situation.

“It challenged my colleagues, that even in difficult circumstances, you can remain cool. At the end of the day, no blood needs to be shed because someone shows you extreme hate,” Kasingye stated.

However, he further he revealed that their much tougher incidences that require no tolerance saying; “Unless defending yourself from extreme danger, don’t spill blood. In the end, you are the winner.”
