Activist Stella Nyanzi has vowed to make her way to the Entebbe Airport to welcome Bobi Wine. According to Nyanzi, her and Bobi Wine are brother and sister and no one can stop her from accessing him on return.
In a press conference yesterday, police stated that the legislator will only be welcomed by a few members of his immediate family. However, Stella Nyanzi is not having it!
“I am in my red People Power tee shirt, waiting for Bobi Wine on the highway to Entebbe International Airport. Who told the police that they can stop me from meeting our Ghetto Gladiator?” Nyanzi has posted on her social media.
Stella Nyanzi explained that her relationship with the singer cum legislator is based on cultural ties not the eurocentric sense of nucleus family.
“How does the police delimit family members? Bobi is Kyagulanyi Ssentamu of the Buffalo clan. I am Nanyanzi Nyanzi of the Buffalo clan. In Buganda, Bobi and I are brother and sister. We are family. If police foolishly thinks that the eurocentric nucleus family is superior to our Kiganda extended family, the police leadership should take this foolishness those ways. ”
