Before the year unwinds, Pentecostal churches usually organise end of the year prayers in a grand affair. While many settle for the ‘Passover’ (December 31), Pr Wilson Bugembe held his over the weekend on Saturday at Worship House, Nansana.

What happens when a singing pastor invites a singing legislator of different political affiliation? There was almost a clash of politics in the church! Amongst the guests that attended was Kyadondo East legislator Hon Robert Kyagulanyi who is also known to be a close friend to the singing pastor.

Before letting Bobi Wine to address the congregation, Pastor Bugembe jokingly told him to keep off Museveni in his speech. But he again tasked him to at least mention one achievement Museveni has done.

“I am for People Power and I will not talk about your Museveni”, Bobi Wine stated.

In response, Pr Bugembe revealed that though he is a supporter of NRM, he loves Bobi Wine too.

“I thank God for you Bobi Wine. You know I am for President Museveni, but politics aside, I thank God that you are alive today. I love you as a person though we differ in politics,” Pastor Bugembe said.

The two later sang their popular collaboration ‘Ojanga n’osaba’, much to the excitement of the congregation.
