Opposition stalwart, the former FDC Party President Dr. Kizza Besigye has said the upcoming 2021 presidential is meaningless and no Ugandan seeking change should take it serious, because President Museveni already destroyed the constitution to force his stay upon Ugandans beyond its legal limits.

“Why should anyone serious about liberating this country think of 2021? President Museveni already attacked parliament, by which act he attacked the country because parliament represents the country, to force himself onto Uganda beyond what the Law allowed him,” Dr. Besigye said angrily.

“You can’t expect such a person to let a free and fair electoral process take place. He is now using force to stay in power, and the election will only be a vindication of what he did to keep himself in power by attacking parliament and destroying our constitution,” Dr. Besigye further said.

The former FDC President and four-time presidential candidate also said that then Electoral Commission can’t be relied on to deliver a free and fair election, because the EC Chairperson is President Museveni’s own appointee, which makes him the president’s own staff planted to serve the incumbet’s interests.
