Over the weekend on Sunday shock filled Buvuma Island as the area Woman Mp Hon.Janepher Egunyu Nantume’s bodyguard Martin Beema shot dead a protestor who attempted to grab a megaphone from the legislator. The gruesome incident happened as the rowdy crowd booed Nantume prompting the guard to shoot a one Sadiq Kizito in the neck.

This occurred in Kiziba Village, Buyaga Sub county, Buvuma District where the legislator had called for a village meeting to give out sewing machines and hoes to the residents.

The local Police in the area is yet to come up with an official statement and our efforts to get a comment from Hon. Nantume have yielded nothing as the legislator declined to comment on the incident claiming she was in a meeting.
