Once a hater of Bobi Wine’s People Power movement, Rubaga South MP, Kato Lubwama seems to have ‘seen the light.’ The comedian cum MP has appointed himself the People Power Chairman for Buganda region.

“I’ll soon be updating you on all new developments in my new capacity as chairman People Power Buganda region,” Kato Lubwama boasted.

Lubwama explained that his decision for joining People Power was a result of fear. That he did not want to be pelted with bottles by People Power diehards.

However, when Matooke Republic reached out Joel Ssenyonyi, the movement’s official spokesperson, he said Lubwama is now feeling the heat of his recent political remarks and is seeking atonement.

“Big joke it is. He will be fine,” Ssenyonyi said adding that People Power is not in any way paying attention to Lubwama’s “shenanigans.”
