Democratic Party supporters assembled in enchantment at Nsambya Sharing Hall to witness the party unveil Joseph Mayanja popularly known as Jose Chameleone as a party member and flag bearer for the Kampala mayoral seat in 2021.
The singer made his intention known earlier this year when he declared interest in running for Lord Mayor of Kampala. He also held mobilisation drive in Kawempe where he announced that he will contest in 2021.
The Lord Mayor race has attracted a number of contestants including former security minister Gen. Henry Tumukunde, Latif Ssebagala, the incumbent Lord Mayor, Erias Lukwago and counting.
Chameleone’s brother, Pius Mayanja alias Pallaso was also unveiled at a DP member at the same occasion.
