Village chairperson beats his 10-year-old daughter to death for eating food he had ‘smuggled’ from a party

Police in Naggalama has arrested a one Ssalongo Ssesanga Isma a resident of Buyuki Village and Chairperson LC II of Kigogola Parish in Kasawo Sub County on allegations of beating his 10-year-old daughter, a one Nassanga Salama to death.

It is alleged that Ssalongo Ssesanga went to some party and came back home with parked food. Later, the deceased with her two siblings ate it without the consent of their father. On realising that the food had been eaten, he got furious over their actions and beat them all but one Nassanga Salama died in the process.

The suspect is currently detained at Nagalama Police Division as investigations into the murder by assault continue while Nassanga’s body was picked and taken to Kayunga Hospital for post-mortem.
