You played a good part during your time of service but now I am the new baby – Catherine Kusasira responds to NRM Kampala leaders

The verbal exchange between newly-appointed Presidential Advisor on Kampala, Catherine Kusasira and a block of National Resistance Movement (NRM) leaders from Kampala region leaders seems to be getting stiffer every day.

Yesterday, NRM vice chairman for Kampala Godfrey Nyakana recommended that the singer should be taken to a training school and be equipped with leadership skills. Nyakana’s comments have provoked Kusasira to respond saying she is not in service to pick up battles with NRM leaders.

Kusasira says although she is an advisor for President Museveni, but in her service she is going to be serving all unprivileged Ugandans no matter the political affiliation.

The singer states that the leaders who are against her appointment should accept the fact that she is the new presidential darling.

“You played a good part during your time of service but now I am the new baby,” Kusasira says.

Kusasira has been at loggerheads with NRM leaders in Kampala region as she declined a meeting with them claiming to be senior to their administration. She demanded for an official invite in writing from them to attend their meeting.
