Police in Makindye has arrested a one Shadia Nakiwala, the proprietor of HUNT International Labour Suppliers Limited for allegedly conning Justus Twine of Shs15 million.

Twine said that he gave Nakiwala Shs15 million in April meant to buy shares in her labour export company located in Kikumbi zone in Zzana but she did not fullfil her end of the deal.

Twine said that he later realised that Nakiwala’s company, HUNT International Labour Suppliers Limited was not registered with Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB), so he could not legitimately get the shares.

He then embarked on the hard process of asking to get his money back from Nakiwala but it seemed fruitless, so he dragged her to Police.

Police swung into action and arrested Nakiwala, a resident of Madirisa zone in Makindye and swiftly arraign her to court.

She denied all the allegations but Grade One Magistrate Allan Mpirwe Gakyaro sent her on remand to Luzira until November 29, 2019.

In her defence, Nakiwala claimed that she registered her company with URSB and submitted all the required paperwork but has the bureau has delayed to give her a registration of companies certificate.
