Doctor, cleaner and security guard connive to steal hospital bed

Police in Bugiri has arrested three suspects in connection to the theft of a surgical operating bed from Bugiri Hospital.

According to Police, the mission was plotted by hospital workers; 36-year-old Dr Wamasyuwu Anthony, 55-year-old Mutwalibu Kigobero
who is a cleaner and Poloch Jonathan a security guard.

Police said Joyce Mutiibwa a Nursing Officer attached to Bugiri hospital reported the case as she alleged that unknown persons broke into the
surgical ward and made away with the surgical bed valued at Shs18 million.

Police quickly went on a hunt as it interrogated a number of workers at the hospital.

“After questioning the suspects, today we recovered the surgical bed from Buwunga Sub County in Bugiri district,” Police said.

The suspects are currently detained at Bugiri Police Station as investigations continue.
