This has been a good year for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Mike Chibita. Apart from successfully working on several court cases, the DPP was appointed to the Executive Committee of International Association of Prosecutors in September.

Chibita’s CV is only getting better, as it is now a matter of time until he is judge of the Supreme Court, the highest judicial organ in Uganda.

News reaching our desk is that President Museveni appointed Chibita, Ezekiel Muhanguzi and Percy Night Tuhaise who have been justices of the Court of Appeal to take seats in the Supreme Court, and their names have already been forwarded to Speaker Rebecca Kadaga for vetting next week.
