Over the years, with the ever growing need for Ugandans to travel abroad, the process of getting a passport has become increasingly tedious as one has to wake up early in the morning and go face one of the longest queues ever at Ministry of Internal Affairs to pick or submit the application and accompanying documents.

Citizens have always begged government to put in place aa system where they can apply for the passports online, and government has finally heard their concerns.

Today, Ministry of Internal Affairs launched the online passport system, a fully functional portal where Ugandans can log on and apply for the international travel document in the comfort of their homes at the press of only a few buttons.
