Makerere University’s 70th graduation kicks off today with more female graduands than males

Today, one of the most prestigious Universities in Africa, Makerere University is marking its 70th graduation that will go on until Friday January 17, 2020.

The ceremony will see more than 4000 students from 11 colleges graduate in different disciplines ranging from economics, computing, medicine, agriculture, engineering, law, and business among others.

This time, the University has said that they are having more female graduands than males as 50.5% of the graduands are females and 49.5% males, and the University this called this a major score in their history.

“Welcome to the 70th Graduation of Makerere. This is day 1 and we look forward to a great week of celebration and joy to the Graduands, parents and guardians. The figure 50.5%:49.5% Female to Male graduands is a major score in this University’s history,” reads a tweet from Makerere University’s official Twitter page.

Everyone at Matooke Republic congratulates all the graduands upon successful completion of their respective courses, and wish them the best in the future.
