Two midwives arrested for the death of expectant mother who failed to pay them Shs160000

Police in Kyotera district has arrested and detained two midwives for neglecting an expectant mother leading to her death. The two midwives are Betty Namubiru and Faith Nakamatte who are attached to Kalisizo General Hospital.

According to reports, the duo asked the victim/deceased a one Gaudencia Namata Shs160000 so that they can aid her deliver a child.

However, when Namata failed to raise the asked amount, it is alleged that Namubiru and Nakamatte left her helpless on the hospital bed. A few hours, later Namata was announced dead.

Police are now holding Namubiru and Nakamatte in their custody as further investigations into the matter are being conducted.
