This has been a busy week for Police. From arresting 11 ‘hooligans’ that allegedly pelted. Bebe Cool with plastic bottles last week during Cindy’s concert, to arresting Lt. Gen. Henry Tumukunde for alleged treason, to now arresting a man of God.

Yesterday, Police in Kamuli arrested a one Pastor Andrew Muwanguzi of the True Worship Centre in Kamuli district for allegedly hosting Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Robert Kyagulanyi popularly known as Bobi Wine in March, 2019.

According to Police, the man of God invited and hosted the legislator at his home in Bukikimbo, Butyansi sub-county, Kamuli district in March last year without notifying Police, something that is against the Public Order Management Act.

In his defence, Muwanguzi says that the People Power leader and Presidential hopeful paid him a courtesy call that did not require prior Police approval, but Police contend that he (Muwanguzi) has been holding consultative meetings without Police clearance.

Busoga North Region Police Spokesperson Michael Kasadha says investigations into the matter are underway prior to the release of a statement tomorrow, Monday, March 16, 2020.
