Seven Ugandans succumb to Coronavirus in the UK

Seven Ugandans including a pastor are reported to have succumbed to coronavirus in the United Kingdom (UK). The deceased are; Pastor Kayiwa, Sarah Acheng, Boniface Okee (Gulu), Susan Onyac (Kitgum), Mego Gatrude Lukeca (Gulu) and Jane Kobong.

Pastor Peter Kasirivu, the founder of Ggaba Community Church, broke the news of Pastor Kayiwa’s death.

“A friend (Pastor Kayiwa), a revivalist, fellow soldier in the kingdom has succumbed to the dreaded Coronavirus in London,” he said.

UK so far has over 1,200 deaths of coronavirus. As of Sunday, there were 17,089 confirmed cases, including Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Prince Charles.

Over the weekend United States of America surpassed Italy, China and Spain in the number of total cases of COVID-19.  The U.S. recorded 518 new coronavirus-linked deaths in the span of 24 hours, according to data published on Sunday by John Hopkins University. USA now has 136,880 total cases, the highest in the world.
