Ministry of Finance is today Wednesday set to present a revised supplementary budget worth Shs304 billion meant to fight COVID-19 and its effects in Uganda.

The new budget has an addition of Shs20 billion from yesterday’s budget that was presented before Parliament by the Minister of Finance, Matia Kasaija. Kasaija yesterday tabled a budget worth Shs284 billion.

According to the new budget, the Ministry of Health has been allocated the biggest share of Shs82 billion that will be used to equip various health facilities around the country. The budget will address the challenge of accommodation and protective gears to health workers.
