Ruparelia Foundation fulfils pledge, hands over two Pick-Ups to Covid-19 task force

The Ruparelia Foundation heeded to President Yoweri Museveni’s call to companies and wealthy individuals to donated four-wheel drive vehicles to help in response towards fighting Covid-19 in the country.

The foundation, which is the humanitarian arm of business magnate Dr. Sudhir Ruparelia’s, Ruparelia Group, pledged not one but two brand new Tata Xenon pick-ups.

Today, the foundation fulfilled their pledge by handing over the vehicles to Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda.

The vehicles were handed over Amit Sachdeva, the head of Speke Group of Hotels, the hospitality arm of the Ruparelia Group.

“On behalf Of Ruparelia Foundation we are here to represent our Chairman Sudhir Ruparelia, Jyotsna Ruparelia, Sheena Ruparelia, Rajiv Ruparelia and the entire Ruparelia Family who have donated two double cabin pickups to Help Fight Covid-19,” Amit said.

“This donation is in line with the presidential call and those in position to help the taskforce,” he added.

Recently, the Ruparelia Foundation donated food to 5,000 families in Kampala and its surroundings.
