God will take care of us- Pastor Bugembe asks Gov’t to reopen places of worship

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 mitigation measures,religious leaders continue to request government to reopen places of worship

Renown Singer and Pastor of Light the World Ministries Nansana, Wilson Bugembe has joined other faith leaders to ask government to reopen churches. Bugembe says places of worship are ready to follow all the necessary guidelines from the ministry of Health.

“I want to ask the Government to have faith in God. Please open the churches, we will make sure we observe the guidelines given to us by the Ministry of Health and God will take care of us,” Pr Wilson Bugembe said.

The Archbishop of the Church of Uganda the Rt. Rev. Dr. Steven Kazimba Mugalu has also continuously called upon the government to re-consider opening places of worship. Kazimba said that in this COVID-19 situation, churches should be considered as essential institutions.

He said majority of population are currently broken down and need spiritual healing.
