All Local Defence Unit (LDU) officers are to get name tags on their uniforms.

This following several incidents of LDUs beating people in trying to enforce curfew guidelines with some incidents ending up in deaths.

Uganda People’s Defence Forces spokesperson Brig. Richard Karemire has made the revelation that just like other forces ie UPDF and Police, LDU officers’ uniforms will also bare nametags in the near future.
