Speaker Rebecca Kadaga has ordered for the mass screening of all Members of Parliament and other staff for COVID19 at Parliament starting tomorrow. This is after Kiryandongo District Woman MP Hellen Kahunde tested positive for the novel virus.

Sources reveal that Kahunde was feeling unwell for the past days and decided to go to Mulago Hospital for check up. Her results came out positive for COVID-19 and was immediately admitted.

Kahunde is the first law maker to test positive for the virus in Uganda. However, Kadaga said that parliament will continue to operate as usual.
