Kampala Lord Mayor hopeful currently the Kampala Woman Member of Parliament, Nabilah Naggayi Ssempala is at loggerheads with her party Forum for Democratic Change over party’s failure to accept her nomination forms.

FDC Electoral Commission (EC) Chairperson, Boniface Toterebuka said he rejected Nabilah’s forms because she returned them late and besides she never picked the forms from any of their offices.

Nandala Mafabi, the FDC Secretary-General has accused Nabilah of wanting to ‘use’ the party for only personal gains. Mafabi said Nabilah has not been participating in the party activities since she was elected back to parliament in 2016.

Mafabi revealed that Nabilah has played a lot of dirty games to gain relevance.

“In the last campaigns, Hon Nabilah had to bribe the police to be arrested to show that she was near Besigye while he was being arrested,” Nabilah said.

He added, “The reason why president Museveni said there will be no Opposition in 2020 is because there are people who behave to be Opposition but in reality, they are there to make the Opposition look bad.”

He advised Nabilah to seek asylum in any party because FDC will be back Erias Lukwago in the Kampala Lord Mayor race.
