Police recovers six guns and 510 bullets from suspected robbers

Police spokesperson Fred Enanga has revealed that the institution last week recovered six guns and hundreds of bullets from suspected robbers and kidnappers.

While addressing a press conference at Uganda Media Centre today, Enanga said Police and other security agencies last week enhanced patrols to track down criminals especially around the Kampala Metropolitan areas.

“During the week, Police recovered 06 guns and 510 ammunitions from robbers, kidnappers and others were hidden by suspected criminals,” Enanga told journalists.

The suspects and exhibits are at Katwe Police Station pending further action.

“Efforts are ongoing by Crime Intelligence and other Security Agencies to track down the accomplices for apprehension,” he said.

Enanga also warned on the continued violation of government guidelines on COVID-19 by some politicians around the urban areas. He said a series aspirants have been arrested and detained at various police stations around the country.
