Lukwago vows to push for prosecution of former KCCA director Jennifer Musisi for swindling over Shs100b

Following a report from the Capital City Public Accounts Committee showing how Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) lost a huge sum of money, theLord Mayor Erias Lukwago and his team of the city Executive Committee want Parliament to summon former executive director of KCCA Jennifer Musisi and the former director Legal Charles Ouma over the said swindled money amounting to Shs.100bn.

While presenting the report, Bob Kabaziguruka, the CCPA Chairperson said that by KCCA delivering and supervising sub-standard work, the roads will not last as planned.

“KCCA paid for concrete bedding for culverts and it is clear that we paid money to a contractor for concrete bedding but the contractor laid compacted murram, “ said Kabaziguruka.

Lukwago said that when the report is laid before Parliament in addition to recovering the money his team is going to insist that Charles Ouma and his team who were manning the procurement team are be arrested and prosecuted for causing financial loss of such a big  magnitude.

“They were being praised that ooh the technical people were doing a lot of wonderful work and you the politicians are just politicking. Are we politicking here,” Said Lukwago

Jennifer Musisi was the executive director of KCCA from 2011 to 2018 when she handed in her resignation
