President Yoweri Museveni has successfully changed his name to correspond with his academic papers. In a document dated October 6, Museveni undertook a deed poll and a legal deed to formalize a change of his name.

Museveni has realigned his name from Yoweri Museveni, Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Museveni and Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Kaguta Museveni.

“I formally and absolutely renounce and abandon the use of the names, Yoweri Museveni, Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Museveni and Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and assume and adopt my full name   Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Kaguta Museveni,” reads the document.
