In a gesture to put to bed the social media uproar following a viral video where a police officer was captured clobbering an elderly woman in Mbale, Mbale Police Divisional Police Commander, Fred Mchanga has led a delegation of senior officers and visited the old woman.

In the video that made rounds, the late Assistant Inspector of Police (AIP), Sam Okiror is seen whipping the old woman who appeared to be walking to her home without provoking the police.
