Early this week,a video recorded by National Unity Platform affiliated Ghetto TV implicated Bobi Wine’s private bodyguard Norbert Ariho as having thrown the explosive that is now believed to have been a sophisticated teargas canister with characteristics of grenades.
In a twist of events, a video captured by a Next Media cameraperson showed the explosive flying from the side where the security officers stood as Bobi Wine engaged them for blocking his campaign rally.
However, today according to Bobi Wine’s post, Ariho has been arrested.
“Even when clear evidence came out showing that our comrade Nobert Ariho never threw the grenade that nearly killed us as alleged by police, they have gone ahead and arrested him violently, bundled him onto a police truck and drove to unknown destination,” stated Bobi Wine
Bobi added that the same Assimwe who continues to follow him and his team commandeered the arrest of Ariho.
He added that they are ashamed of themselves and simply want to prove a point.
Bobi also said that he’s aware of the regime’s plan.
“we are aware of their plan to arrest, torture and detain many more people that I work with until after elections, too bad for them Uganda is far ahead of them,” said Bobi
