Police has recovered an SMG rifle with seven rounds of ammunition in Kyegegwa District. Also recovered, is a motorcycle registration number UFD 954L and several other items.
Two suspects found in possession of the rifle were also arrested. The arrested suspects include Bataringaya Godfrey- 36 years, a resident of Nyabugando Village, Kiyagara Parish, Kamwenge Sub County, Kamwenge District and Katamba Abudul Akim, 48, a resident of Mijunju village, Songi Parish, Kibito Sub County, Bunyangabo District.
“Our teams are carrying out deeper investigations surrounding this criminality. The two will be arraigned in courts of law,” says Police.
